Golden, crispy, and irresistibly delicious, classic French fries are the perfect balance of crunch and fluff. Carefully double-fried to achieve their signature crispiness, these fries boast a delicate outer crunch while remaining soft and fluffy inside. A touch of salt enhances their natural flavor, while optional seasonings like black pepper, paprika, or garlic powder add a personalized kick. Whether paired with a classic ketchup dip or enjoyed with rich, creamy mayonnaise, these fries are a timeless treat that never fails to satisfy!

Method:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Peel and cut the potatoes into uniform strips (about 1 cm thick).
    • Soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  2. Dry & Fry (First Fry):
    • Drain and pat dry the potato strips with a clean towel.
    • Heat the oil to 160°C (320°F) and fry the potatoes in batches for 4–5 minutes until soft but not browned.
    • Remove and drain on a paper towel.
  3. Crisp Up (Second Fry):
    • Increase oil temperature to 190°C (375°F).
    • Fry the potatoes again for 2–3 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
    • Drain excess oil and season immediately with salt and other desired seasonings.
  4. Serve & Enjoy:
    • Serve hot with ketchup, mayonnaise, or any dip of your choice!
